Medicare Part D prescription drug plan pricing will increase for some in 2027, and some drugs could be switched to higher-priced “tiers” with higher co-pays. With open enrollment starting October 15 and running through December 7, a senior advocate says do your homework. Open enrollment is also a time to shop for health care plans and make any changes for 2027, but you will still need a Part D plan, which will see some premium increases says Shannon Abell, in part because the enhanced subsidies that date back to the COVID era have been phased out in the Big Beautiful Big – HR1.
