Detectives with the Roanoke Police Department are searching for the man who robbed a gas station in Southwest Roanoke.
On August 29, 2025, at approximately 5:34 a.m., officers responded to the gas station in the 2100 block of Crystal Spring Ave SW for the report of an armed robbery. An employee reported the suspect approached the counter and pulled a gun from his waistband, demanding money. The employee complied, and the man ran from the store.
The suspect is described as a heavyset man between 5’7” and 5’10”, wearing a black beanie, dark mask, reflective vest over black jacket over a white shirt, black plants, and white/black Nike sneakers. The suspect was captured by surveillance cameras and can be seen in the photos below:
